Flow charts was the first chapter I (re)wrote for the 2nd edition. It is perhaps the best example of the “more illustrations” objective. Using NEADS, a non-profit based near Boston, as a focal point for the flow chart work, I could present a range of examples using the same basic content. This yielded a nice range of illustrations that are (hopefully) easy to compare.
The ZIP archive (~3MB) includes the OmniGraffle file and a PDF with all the illustrations. The figures are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike.
